Known for playing and producing hard-hitting dance music, Tony Rohr releases his six-track Oddmatik EP this week. With the help of a Machinedrum, Virus B synth, Nord Modular keyboard and Elektron Monomachine, Rohr has created six very distinctive cuts aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

Opener ‘Isabela’s Arpeggiator’ is upbeat and futuristic, while second track ‘Das Lik Stir’ veers into more tribalistic territory. ‘Basic 101’ features relentless, trance-like rhythms, while the pounding, fearsome ‘Touch Me’ closes the EP in suitably electrifying style. Rohr calls it his ‘voodoo techno’ sound, we just think he makes highly sophisticated, visceral beats.

Oddmatik is out tomorrow on Clink Recordings.
