The European school of photography has a serious eye for color. For all the talk of what we snarkily call “blandscapes”, the Germans especially tend to bring a more meditative vibe to the medium. Where as American and French shooters tend to blast the color, the Northern Europeans tend to go the more muted route.

Case in point, Matthias Heiderich. His beautifully silent Snow Blind series blew us away. Enjoy.
