An overwhelming desire to make people dance is what encouraged Welsh band Friends Electric to form two years ago. Thanks to their slinky rhythms, pop hooks and euphoric beats they are pitted as potential heirs to the dance/pop crown of The Pet Shop Boys. Their infectious electronic pop was the catalyst for Frankmusik to snap them up, and for The Noisettes to book them to master their first remix. Since then, the band has risen through the ranks with remixes for Kylie Minogue, We Are Scientists and Ellie Goulding.

Next month the band release the single ‘Fireworks’, a clattering, chattering, pop masterpiece that signals their serious intent to fill a dancefloor near you, which they’ll be doing when they hit Proud Galleries and Rich Mix in London as well as the Wakestock Festival in July.

Fireworks is out on 20th of June.
