Poly Styrene, former frontwoman of pioneering punk rock band, X-Ray Spex, may have lost her brave battle with cancer in April of this year, but her music lives on.

New single ‘Ghoulish’ from her last full-length album Generation Indigo was chosen personally by Poly Styrene before she sadly passed away. Poly Styrene and producer Youth have produced a delicious slice of 21st century pop; check out the quirky promo for the track above, which features a Michael Jackson impersonator casting session.

The single also features an exclusive pulsating remix from Hercules And Love Affair, aka Andy Butler, who has draped Poly Styrene’s vocals over an acid-house groove, introducing a whole new generation to the iconic punk pioneer.

Ghoulish is out now on Future Noise Music.
