‘Evergreen’ is the brand new single from John Foxx and The Maths, taken from current album Interplay. The track has a healthy dose of 80s-inspired electronic new wave in the vein of Human League, but can hold its own on any dancefloor today.

John Foxx and The Maths are John Foxx and electronic synthesizer collector Benge (Ben Edwards), who in 2008 released Twenty Systems, an exploration of synths from 1968 to 1988. John Foxx is best known for his work with Ultravox, whom he formed in the early 70s. Over the years he has worked with a wide variety of artists including Brian Eno, Leftfield’s Paul Daley, and Cocteau Twins’ guitarist, Robin Guthrie.

To coincide with the release of ‘Evergreen’, John Foxx and The Maths have announced their first ever UK tour including gigs at Glasgow’s The Arches on 23rd October and two gigs at London’s XOYO on 25th/27th October.

Look out for an exclusive interview with John Foxx (backstage at The Arches) in Gutter next month.
