There is no denying that Manchester is responsible for some of the most inspiring bands of a generation, i.e. The Smiths, Joy Division, Oasis, The Stones Roses and New Order to mention but a few. Are new talent Patterns destined to follow?

The 3rd October sees the release of debut single ‘Induction’, a slice of dreamy indie dancefloor-friendly pop that gives a salute to The Smiths. Drawing on contemporaries Deerhunter and Panda Bear as well as The Jesus & Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine, the band say they create music about “being young and trying to create your place in the world”.
