With just weeks till the release of their self-titled debut album, drummer Patrick Doyle took time out to chat exclusively to Gutter Magazine about what London-based band Veronica Falls are all about.

Who are Veronica Falls?
Marion, James, Roxanne and Patrick – a London-based band who sing and play instruments. Often at the same time.

How would you describe your sound?
Loud/dark/sweet/mournful and always sarcastic.

Who/what inspires you?
Funny stories, extraordinary people, tall tales and short attention spans

What can we expect from a Veronica Falls gig?
Energy, power and hopefully a lot of dancing

How do you feel about your upcoming tour dates?
Very excited. Touring the US seems like an amazing way to see new cities and meet new people. Long drives and hopefully a lot of good Mexican food.

What hints can you give us to expect from your forthcoming debut album?
A lot of stories. Some tall, some short but mostly all good for singing along too.

What do you aim to achieve over the next 12 months?
A full, even tan. Possibly shoulder length hair.

Veronica Falls is out on 17th October on Bella Union. Check out our review here.
