Here’s a non-touristy reason to visit the London Eye – the Red Bull Music Academy is taking over each of its 30 capsules on Thursday 13th of October with a host of hugely influential DJs and live acts. The event, called Revolutions in Sound, marks the end of RBMA’s global tour, right before the start of the 14th annual Academy, this year taking place in Madrid.

There’ll be dubstep (Skream, Benga, David Rodigan), drum and bass (Goldie, Shy FX), reggae (Don Letts), techno (Andrew Weatherall), soul (Andreya Triana) and grime (Kano, Wretch 32), amongst many many others. Fabriclive have their own capsule with Pearson Sound, Pangaea and Ben UFO, and record label Moshi Moshi host another with D/R/U/G/S. As tickets were free they went like hotcakes, but you’ll be able to stream the event live here. Plus you can head to Fabric for the afterparty with David Rodigan. Thursday is still the new Saturday, right?
