The Killers have unveiled the cover artwork for their forthcoming single, “Runaways” taken from their much-anticipated, fourth studio album, “Battle Born”.

“Runaways” will debut on radio on Tuesday 10th July 2012.

“Battle Born” was unveiled in a trailer last month and is scheduled for release in Autumn; the album is named after the band’s recording studio in Las Vegas and is the follow-up to 2008’s “Day & Age”.

The Killers took a hiatus in 2009 following their world tour in support of “Day & Age” and rumours of a split were rife, however, the band have been holed up in their Las Vegas recording studio for almost a year working on their forthcoming studio album.

Frontman, Brandon Flowers admitted in an interview last month that the band had taken a “big risk” taking such a lengthy break.

The Killers are set to make a dramatic return to UK shores at The V Festival in August and are scheduled to perform at Ireland’s Electric Picnic later this summer.
