Festival Season is nearing a close here in the UK after yet another summer of memorable live music and even more memorable weather!

Mudbath anyone?

But, before we put our soggy tents away for another summer, we have a few climaxes to round things off.
And what better way to begin bidding farewell to festivals 2012 than with the much-anticipated V Festival this weekend?!

Spread over two sites; Hylands Park and Weston Park, V boasts an impressive line-up to accommodate a variety of musical tastes; The Stone Roses are set to continue a stellar summer with a headline slot joined by Las Vegas’ finest, The Killers who are scheduled to headline their first British festival in over a year.

Example, David Guetta and Nero have been enlisted to cater for the glowstick junkies, Nicki Minaj, Rita Ora and Tinie Tempah are there for your R ‘N’ B/Hip Hop pleasure, The Stranglers, Happy Mondays and The Human League will benefit those who enjoy the music of days gone by and if that wasn’t enough, those with a guilty pleasure for . . . I think they call it “pop”, Cher Lloyd, Conor Maynard and the mighty LMFAO are guaranteed to cause some shufflin’.

And the line-up got a further boost just days ago when it was announced that The Charlatans were booked to replace former N Dubz frontman, Dappy who pulled out of his performance.

A mixed bag of weather has been predicted for V but when has that ever mattered?
It’ll take more than a little (or a lot) of rain to dampen this affair.

For those of you who missed out on tickets to this sold-out event, V Festival will be available to watch from the comfort of your own living room on 4Music (mud not included but feel free to pitch your pop-up)
