If you haven’t heard of Dog Is Dead this year, where have you been?!

This bunch of boys from Nottingham have been causing a stir on the indie-pop scene of late. You might’ve heard their recent single “Glockenspiel Song”, which was Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens’ ‘Record Of The Week’ and it also received massive support from XFM and NME.

But if not, their sound is happy, jangly and easy to listen to. Comparisons have been made to Bombay Bicycle Club who the band supported on tour earlier in the year.

Still interested? Well their debut album “All Our Favourite Stories” is released on October 8th and featues, “Glockenspiel Song” and new single “Talk Through The Night” (out October 1st).

Dog Is Dead frontman, Robert Milton describes the next release as “an ode to the anti-cool, the school geeks’ summer anthem.”

So if you can’t wait to get your geek on, you can catch the boys at Reading & Leeds Festival (August 25 & 26) or at In The Woods Festival on September 1st.

If you aren’t fortunate enough to be festing it up, the boys are embarking on a headline UK tour throughout October and November in support of their debut offering including shows at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus, London’s Scala, Academy 3 in Manchester and King Tut’s in Glasgow.
