Dublin quartet Kodaline have recently become Radio 1 darlings, thanks to some US TV- friendly songs echoing Chris Martin-esque vocals and Mumford & Sons’ inoffensive folkestry.

Their debut EP was released on 15th October through B-Unique/RCA Victor and has led to them being picked up for a sync deal with “Grey’s Anatomy”.

“All I Want” features a bittersweet ‘Beauty & The Beast’ video concept set in an office, earning the band a quarter of a million YouTube views for their early Coldplay influenced lament, with lead singer Stephen musing “You took my soul and wiped it clean”.

“Lose Your Mind” is like Oasis-lite, with a somewhat dated rhythmn and swagger, harking back to a distinct early nineties sound.

You can catch them on their first UK tour in this month playing Manchester’s “Night & Day” on the 26th and London’s Hoxton on the 27th followed by the Sebright Arms on the 28th.
