Have you had problems with vermin of the winged variety lately? Well fear not because those cheeky northerners Pigeon Detectives are back for 2013!

Far from actually solving our feathered-foe related crimes, Matt Bowman and Co have been off writing new material to infect the charts and our brains with.

The first new track you can hear from the boys is forthcoming single “Animal”, which was dubbed as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1. The single is available now, and fans can grab a free download of “Animal” exclusively from the Pigeon Detectives’ website.

As well as this, we can expect a brand spanking new album from the boys later this year. And, in the meantime they are about to return to the stage, embarking on a UK tour in the spring. You can catch them throughout April and May with gigs in Whitehaven Civic Hall (26th April), Norwich Waterfront (30th), Glasgow’s Arches (3rd May), Dingwalls in London (9th) and Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth (11th).

Tickets are on sale now but you’d better be quick, they’re selling fast!
