“Seven Year Setlist” is the forthcoming compilation album from Dundee-based band, The View celebrating their career, so far.

This collection follows on from last year’s studio effort, “Cheeky For A Reason” which helped them scoop Best Album 2012 at Sunday Mail’s Great Scotland Awards and Album Of The Year 2012 at The Scottish Music Awards; their fourth album in five years saw The View extensively tour the UK and join festival line-ups across the country including Wickerman and T In The Park last summer.

“Over the years there’s been four studio albums, thousands of gigs, too much vodka and loads of memories on this crazy rock ‘n’ roll journey. So we wanted to to create an album that was kinda like stopping and looking back over the years. That’s the Seven Year Setlist“, said frontman Kyle Falconer.

This “Best Of” charts The View’s success since releasing their #1 debut album, “Hats Off To The Buskers” in 2007, including “Face For The Radio”, “Superstar Tradesman”, Shock Horror”, “Grace” and signature song, “Same Jeans”, a firm fan favourite. “The Seven Year Setlist” also includes two brand new tracks, “Kill Kyle” and “Dirty Magazine”.

Fresh from their first full tour of North America including a set at SXSW, The View have announced “The Propaganda Tour” which is schedled to kick off on 24th May 2013 at 02 Academy before stopping off at sister venues in Newcastle (25th), Sheffield (31st), Leeds (1st June), Islington (7th), Oxford (8th), Northampton (14th), Glasgow (21st) and Edinburgh (22nd).

The band will also be in Glasgow on Saturday 15th June 2013 to support The Stone Roses at Glasgow Green.

Tickets for “The Propaganda Tour” are available now.

“Seven Year Setlist” is scheduled for release on Monday 17th June 2013 on Cooking Vinyl.
