MGMT are set to make a return to form with a brand new studio album and UK tour in Autumn.

The band; founded by Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden are scheduled to release their third, self-titled studio album in September before playing a string of shows across Europe.

MGMT released their debut album, “Oracular Spectacular” in 2006 which spawned indie-dancefloor favourite, “Time To Pretend”, catapulting them into the hearts of both critics and fans alike. 2010 brought confusion and disappointment with the ill-fated, follow-up “Congratulations” which was panned by press.

The band have been working on their third effort since January 2011 and revealed just days ago it will be released on 17th September 2013 but have admitted “it’s not for everyone”.

MGMT will tour in support of this new album; kicking off in Cologne (26th September) and taking in shows in Brussels (27th), Copenhagen (1st October), Munich (5th), Paris (8th), Glasgow (12th), Manchester (14th) and Dublin (19th).

Tickets are available now.
