Event : Glasgow On Ice

As always, George Square hosts a spectacular display of Christmas lights which makes for the perfect location for a festive family day out. Glasgow On Ice brings an amazing open air ice rink into the heart of Glasgow, allowing anyone to skate the night away. In addition to the ice rink, the Christmas Marquee also returns with a selection of free live music and a variety of family entertainment.

Shopping : St Enoch Christmas Market

Everyone is running around trying to find Christmas present at this time of year but why not take a break from the high street stores and visit the Christmas Market? Located at St Enoch’s Square, traders from all around the world come to Glasgow to sell a variety of goods including knitwear, clothes, jewellery, plants and traditional crafts. It is the perfect place to find that special Christmas gift.

Pantomime: Pinocchio

Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without the magic of Pantomime and this year Glasgow’s Pavillion Theatre are bringing the story of “Pinnocchio” to our city. Michelle McManus, Dean Park and River City’s Stephen Purden (as Pinocchio) will be performing this children’s classic from Wednesday 27th November 2013 until Sunday 11th January 2014 with tickets available from just £17.50.

Gig : Papa Roach

In support of new album,”The Connection”, California’s Papa Roach are touring the UK this month with back-up from Middle Class Rut and American Fangs. They are scheduled to play The  Barrowlands this weekend (Sunday 8th December 2013). Tickets are £20.50.
