Scottish band, The Jesus And Mary Chain have announced plans to play their 1985 album, “PsychoCandy” in full at a trio of UK gigs later this year.

The planned gigs for later this year will be the first the band have performed together since their 2007 Coachella appearance where they were joined onstage by actress, Scarlett Johansson for the song, “Just Like Honey”, which features in “Lost In Translation” which stars the actress.

Brothers Jim and William Reid, who hail from East Kilbride in Glasgow, formed the band in 1983, taking inspiration from The Velvet Underground, The Stooges and The Shangri-Las. They released 6 studio albums before splitting in 1999

The Jesus And Mary Chain will be performing “PsychoCandy” in November; they kick off at London’s Troxy on 19th November followed by a show at Manchester Academy on the 20th and  a homecoming gig at Glasgow’s Barrowlands on the 21st.

Tickets are on sale on Friday 16th May 2014 at 9am.
