Glasgow Gigs This Week

Brother and sister duo, Southern play Nice ‘N’ Sleazy’s this weekend (Sunday 12th October). Hailing from Belfast, the pair released their debut, self-titled EP last year and single, “Where The Wild Are” was released in March of this year.

Californian rock band, The Neighbourhood play The Art School this Sunday (12th Oct) as part of their current tour. The band released their debut album, “I Love You” in April, following EPs, “I’m Sorry . . .” from May 2012 and “Thank You”, released in December 2012

Kids In Glass Houses will be returning to Glasgow for the last time as part of their “Farewell Tour” on 16th October. After announcing their split earlier this year and thanking fans for their continued support throughout their career, which has lasted over a decade, these Welsh rockers are definitely not to be missed when they will appear at the Garage.

Also on the 16th, Californian-based band, Black Veil Brides will be taking to the stage at Barrowlands. The fourth studio album by the band, “Black Veil Brides IV”, is due to be released at the end of this month.

Announced This Week

With details of their fourth studio album “The Mindsweep” announced this week for a release in January 2015, Enter Shikari are giving fans another treat by embarking on a UK tour in the new year. Reynolds and Co will take to the stage at Glasgow’s Barrowlands on 21st January.

“Avonmore” is the 14th studio album by former Roxy Music frontman, Bryan Ferry due to be released next month; a preview of the first track “Loop De Li” was made available this week. The British singer, who has over 40 years experience in the industry, will be coming to Scotland in May next year to Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on the 24th and the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on the 29th.

Ryan Adams will be making an appearance at the Usher Hall on 24th February 2015. This tour was announced following the release of the 39 year old’s self-titled and self-produced 14th album in September.

Dutch DJ Nicky Romero who has worked with some of the biggest names in the business including Calvin Harris, Avicci and David Guetta is taking his own show on the road next year. The 25 year old who has recently gained mainstream success for his music will be at the O2 ABC on 30th November.
