The Hobbit : The Battle Of The Five Armies

An all-star cast bring the concluding part of The Hobbit Trilogy to the silver screen this weekend. Tinker Bell And The Legend Of The NeverBeast

Family fun comes in the form of this animated adventure, voiced by Lucy Liu, Mae Whitman and Anjelica Huston. Tink and her friends encounter a strange, toothy, green-eyed beast in this latest magical instalment, and quickly learn that you should never judge a book by its cover! Disney’s sixth Tinker Bell tale is a must for the kids (big and small) this festive season!

It’s A Wonderful Life @ The GFT, Friday 12th-Sunday 28th December 2014

Frank Capra’s 1946 Christmas Classic gets an airing at The GFT this month. This heart-warming festive fable tells of the trials and tribulations of small-town businessman, George Bailey (played by James Stewart) who, deep in debt and tired of the bad luck life has repeatedly dealt him, decides to commit suicide on Christmas Eve . . . Until an angel called Clarence shows him what life would have been for his nearest and dearest had he never been born. If you don’t leave the cinema after seeing this movie with your faith in humanity restored, you’re dead inside!

Will Ferrell stars in this modern-day festive favourite as Buddy, a human who was raised as an elf in the North Pole. He sets out to New York to meet his real father and find his place in the world, only to discover that everyone has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas; Buddy decides to win over his new-found family and remind the world of the magic of Christmas.

Tim Burton’s unconventional take on Christmas is an all-singing, all-dancing horror show, (of course!) Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington is renowned for his Halloween celebrations, but bored of planning the festivities for the witching hour, Jack decides to take over Christmas! Cue the kidnapping of Santa, trick or treaters, Lock, Shock and Barrel let loose and a terrifying encounter with the evil  Oogie Boogie

Former Friends actress, Jennifer Aniston was “humbled” this week after news broke that she is nominated for “Best Actress” at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. Aniston is nominated for her role in independent movie, “Cake” , where she plays a woman who becomes obsessed by the suicide of a member of her chronic pain group; the film co-stars Felicity Huffman, Sam Worthington and Anna Kendrick. She will take on Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon for the gong next year.
