Gigs This Week
North London-based producers, Kye “Foamo” Gibbon and Matt”RackNRuin” Robson-Scott make up Garage-duo, Gorgon City and they are live at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Thursday (5th February). The pair released their studio effort, “Sirens” last October.
Following in the footsteps of Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke, former prison officer, Sam Bailey clinched The X Factor title in 2013. The mum-of-three will be live at Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium on Saturday (7th February). Since winning the TV talent show Sam released her debut album, “The Power Of Love” in March 2014 and supported Beyonce on tour.
Crown The Empire will be in Glasgow this Saturday (7th February) with Set It Off and Dangerkids for support. The Texan post-hardcore band will be live at The Garage following the release of their second studio album, “The Resistance: Rise Of The Runaways” last summer.
Singer/songwriter, Saint Raymond will be bringing his brand of indie-pop to Glasgow’s 02 ABC2 on Sunday (8th February). AKA Callum Burrows supported Ed Sheeran on tour last year and is currently working on his debut album, scheduled for release in June 2015.
Old-school rockers, The Used will be at Glasgow’s Garage on Tuesday (10th February). The band will be out on the road minus guitarist, Quinn Allman who is taking a temporary hiatus from the band. Since forming in 2001, The Used have released 6 studio albums, the most recent being, “Imaginary Enemy”, released last year.

Original funk daddy, George Clinton unveiled plans to play Glasgow’s 02 ABC on 23rd April 2015. The 73 year old soul-star has had a career spanning 6 decades; some of biggest hits include, “Do Fries Go With That Shake”, “If Anybody Gets Funked Up (It’s Gonna Be You)” and “Atomic Dog” which scored him a number one single. Tickets are available now.
Imagine Dragons have announced plans to play Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on 15th November 2015. Hailing from Las Vegas, the band shot to fame following the release of their debut LP, “Night Visions”, which has sold over 2 million copies since its 2012 release. Their sophomore album, “Smoke And Mirrors” is due out later this month. Tickets go on sale on Friday (6th February 2015) at 9am.
The 13th of June will see rock ‘n’ roll rebel, Billy Idol play Glasgow’s 02 Academy. The 59 year old first found fame with punk rock band, Generation X, before launching a hugely successful solo career in the 1980s. Idol has released seven albums during his solo career, the most recent, “Kings And Queens Of The Underground”, released in October 2014. Tickets are on sale on Friday (6th February 2015) at 9am.
