Gigs This Week

Dublin-born, Raglans are live at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut tonight (Thursday 19th March 2015). The band, who formed in 2011, are out on the road in support of their debut, self-titled LP, released in March 2014. Raglans have previously supported fellow Irish blues band, The Strypes, sister trio, Haim and The Libertines. Support tonight comes from The Tales, The Lapelles and Orthodox.

The SSE Hydro plays host to quirky songstress, Paloma Faith on Friday (20th March 2015). Following a stunning set at The Brits last month, Ms Faith is live in Glasgow as part of her current tour, in support of her third LP, “A Perfect Contradiction”, released last March and features the hit single, “Only Love Can Hurt Like This”. Support comes from Vintage Trouble.

The Daddy of Mancunian misery makes his SSE Hydro debut on Saturday (21st March 2015). Morrissey is bringing his current tour to Glasgow this weekend where he is expected to play a mixed bag of Smiths classics and solo hits. The controversial, former Smiths frontman is out in support of his latest (and tenth) solo LP, “World Peace Is None Of Your Business”, released in February 2014.

Canadian-born, Kiesza is scheduled to play Glasgow’s 02 ABC this weekend (Saturday 21st March 2015). The singer, who enjoyed massive success with single, “Hideaway” last year, is on tour in support of her debut release, “Sound Of A Woman”, released last October. Support comes from Scottish synth-pop band, Prides.

LA’s Warpaint will be at Glasgow’s 02 ABC next week (Wednesday 24th March 2015). Warpaint have had favourable comparisons to The Cocteau Twins, Joni Mitchell and Siouxsie & The Banshees since forming in 2004. The band released their second, self-titled LP last January which was produced by Flood. Support comes from The Garden.

Just Announced

Cincinnati’s Walk The Moon have announced plans to tour this summer, including a date in Glasgow. The band will be at The Arches on Saturday 23rd May 2015, the same month they are due to release their second LP, “Talking Is Hard”.

Bluesy, Irish band, The Strypes have announced plans to play a summer gig in Scotland. The band, who formed in 2011 and released their debut LP, “Snapshot” in September 2013, will be at The Caves in Edinburgh on Sunday 14th June 2015
