Killers frontman, Brandon Flowers has took a step back in time for the promo for his new solo single, “Can’t Deny My Love”. The track is the lead single from Flowers’ second solo LP, “The Desired Effect”, due for release on Monday 18th May 2015.
The promo is based on Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story, “Young Goodman Brown”, written in 1835 and features actress, Evan Rachel Wood and The Psychedelic Furs frontman, Richard Butler.
Flowers unveiled UK tour dates last week, including a gig at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on 25th May 2015. A second date was added at London’s Brixton Academy after the initial date sold out in just one minute.
“The Desired Effect” follows Flowers’ 2010 debut solo album, “Flamingo”, which scored him a number one album in both the US and UK. It features Haim drummer, Danielle, Pet Shop Boy, Neil Tennant and Killers bandmate, Ronnie Vannucci Jr; the album was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, known for his work with Haim, Vampire Weekend, Charli XCX, Madonna and Beyonce. The Killers frontman played new tracks from the forthcoming LP in his hometown of Las Vegas and New York’s Webster Hall earlier this month.
“Can’t Deny My Love” is available now.
“The Desired Effect” is out on Monday 18th May 2015.
