Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace and Vincent Cassel star in this edge of your seat drama, directed by Daniel Espinosa. Leo Demidov (Hardy) is a security officer in the Soviet Union under Stalin’s reign when he uncovers a series of grisly child murders. Demidov is forced to team up with General Mikhail (Oldman) in order to track down the elusive killer when his Communist bosses refuse to believe there is a murderer on the loose. Based on Tom Smith’s bestselling novel.

A Little Chaos

Alan Rickman directs and stars as King Louis XIV in this period drama that re-imagines the creation of The Rockwork Grove, a unique feature of the gardens at the Palace Of Versailles. Celebrated landscape designer, Andre le Notre (Matthias Schoenaerts) is assigned with overseeing the design of an outdoor ballroom as part of expansion plans, but has to get used to “a little chaos” in his professional life when he recruits the help of talented, but free-thinking outsider, Sabine De Barra (Kate Winslet).

The Salvation

Mads Mikkelsen, Eva Green and former Manchester United footballer, Eric Cantona star in this action-packed Western, directed by Kristian Levring. Danish settler, Jon (Mikkelson) is forced to flee the life he has built in 1870s North America after executing the man who murdered his wife and son. However, Jon soon finds himself the target of revenge with the dead man’s brother, Delarue (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a vicious gang leader hell bent on vengeance.

Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio and Juliette Lewis star in this poignant drama about Gilbert Grape; a young man juggling with the responsibility of caring for two younger sisters, his mentally disabled brother, Arnie (DiCaprio) and obese mother and hold down a job in a sleepy, small town in Iowa. However, the arrival of free-spirit, Becky (Lewis) into his mundane life changes everything.

The trailer for forthcoming Brian Wilson biopic, “Love & Mercy” was unveiled earlier this week. Taking its title from Wilson’s 1988 song, “Love & Mercy” depicts two key points in the troubled Beach Boys life; the 1960s and the 1980s. Both Paul Dano and John Cusack play Brian Wilson while Elizabeth Banks plays Wilson’s second wife, Melinda and Paul Giamatti is psychotherapist, Dr Eugene Landy. “Love & Mercy” hits US cinemas on 5th June 2015 while a UK release date has still to be confirmed.

This week brought the a sneaky peek at the upcoming Star Wars movie, “Star Wars : The Force Awakens”, due for release in December 2o15. Harrison Ford, Peter Mayhew, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher reprise their original roles in this forthcoming space adventure set 30 years after Return Of The Jedi (released in 1983). “Chewie, we’re home . . .”
