Avengers : Age Of Ultron

Joss Whedon directs this action-packed, Marvel adventure starring Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L Jackson. Iron Man (Downey Jr), Captain America (Evans), The Hulk (Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Johansson) and Thor (Chris Hemworth) unite against Ultron; a peacekeeping tool designed by Tony Stark which has decided that humans are the enemy and is hell-bent on destroying mankind. James Spader joins this all-star cast as the voice of Ultron.

The Glasgow Film Theatre are giving film-goers a second chance to see the remake of this classic this weekend. Foster kid, Annie’s (Quvenzhane Wallis) life is turned around after she meets billionaire business tycoon and New York Mayoral candidate, Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx). Cameron Diaz also stars as the mean Miss Hannigan.

The Man From Laramie

The GFT, Sunday 26th April 2015 @ 3pm

James Stewart is Will Lockhart in this 1955 western, directed by Anthony Mann. Lockhart comes to the ranch town of Coronado on a mission of vengeance in the name of his dead brother. Arthur Kennedy and Cathy O’Donnell also star.

Far From The Madding Crowd

The GFT (Tuesday 28th/Wednesday 29th April 2015) 

Just a week before the 2015 remake is released, The GFT are giving John Schlesinger’s 1967 original. Julie Christie is Bathsheba Everdene, a proud beauty who inherits her uncle’s farm in the West Country. Alan Bates, Terence Stamp and Peter Finch star as three potential suitors trying to win her hand. Based on the book by Thomas Hardy.

Movie News

We got an exclusive sneak peek at Ben Affleck as Batman in the forthcoming “Batman V Superman : Dawn Of Justice” trailer. The movie is scheduled for release in March 2016 in The United States, but a UK release date has yet to be confirmed. Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane also star, while Henry Cavill reprises his Superman role from 2013’s “Man Of Steel”.
