“Let Her Go” hit-maker Passenger will be at The O2 ABC on Friday (19th June 2015). The English folk-rock singer first found fame as a member of the band Passenger, and kept the band’s name for his solo act after they broke up in 2009. He has enjoyed solo success with singles, “Scare Away The Dark” and “Whispers”.
Friday (15th June 2015) will see The SSE Hydro play host to Sir Elton John. In a career spanning over five decades, the Middlesex-born singer has released over 30 albums to date, the most recent being 2013’s “The Diving Board”.
Country-turned-pop starlet, Taylor Swift (who can do no wrong at the moment) makes her SSE Hydro debut on Tuesday (23rd June 2015) as part of her “1989 World Tour”. Swift released, “1989”, her fifth LP, in October 2014; it has spawned singles, “Shake It Off”, “Blank Space”, “Style” and latest offering, “Bad Blood” and has sold 8.6 million copies to date.
Hertfordshire-rockers Enter Shikari have announced plans to tour the UK in February 2016, kicking off with a show at Glasgow’s O2 Academy on the 18th followed by a show at Edinburgh’s Corn Exhchange (19th).
Despite 2014’s “Farewell Tour”, Bowling For Soup have unveiled plans to tour in 2016 with “How About Another Round Tour”. The Texan quartet are known (and loved) for the tongue in cheek, pop/punk back catalogue, “Girl All The Bad Guys Want”, “1985” and “High School Never Ends”. The band will be at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on 1st February 2016.
Glasgow are in for a treat next year when “The Carnival of Madness 2016” rolls into The SSE Hydro on 1st February 2016. The stellar line-up boasts Black Stone Cherry, Halestorm, Shinedown and Highly Suspect!
November will see Ohio-born newcomers, Walk The Moon perform at Glasgow’s Queen Margaret Union (QMU) on the 24th.
The always controversial Marilyn Manson unveiled “The Hell Not Hallelujah Tour” earlier this week; it includes a date Glasgow’s 02 Academy on 22nd November 2015.
