Gigs This Week
Fleetwood Mac return to The SSE Hydro tonight (Wednesday 8th July 2015) as part of their current “On With The Show” World Tour. The legendary rock band played two sold-out dates at the Glasgow venue last month, and the 2015 line-up now includes Christine McVie who rejoined the band for the first time since 1998.
Legendary DJ Fatboy Slim is scheduled to warm up the T In The Park crowd in Glasgow this Thursday (9th July 2015) at the city’s Sub Club. Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, enjoyed pop success in the 1980s as bassist with The Housemartins, who scored a UK number one in November 1986 with a cover of Isley Jasper Isley’s “Caravan Of Love”. Cook has enjoyed massive success since adopting his Fatboy Slim moniker in 1996 with big hits, “Praise You”, “Rockafeller Skank”, “Right Here, Right Now” and “Weapon Of Choice”.
It’s T time! Scotland’s biggest and best music festival is on this weekend from its brand new home at Strathallan Castle. Over 80, 000 fans will watch the likes of The Libertines, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Stereophonics, The Script, Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Prodigy and Kasabian play live, plus many, many more! Come rain, shine or snow (it IS Scotland, after all) this will be a weekend to remember!
Blood Youth are playing The Classic Grand this Saturday (11th July 2015). Formerly known as Climates, the band’s style and dynamic has changed with the arrival of a new frontman. Their debut EP, “Inside My Head” is available now.
Next Tuesday (14th July 2015) Audio will see Pennsylvanian rockers, Restorations take to the stage, with support from Crazy Arm and Sam Russo. The four piece have released three LP’s to date, with the latest release including the tracks “Separate Songs” and “Tiny Prayers”.
Marina & The Diamonds are set to hit up Glasgow’s O2 ABC on 25th November 2015. The Welsh singer/songwriter released her debut single, “Obsessions” in 2009 and has gone on to release three albums. “Froot” is the latest LP to come from the 29 year old, which includes the singles, “Happy”, title track, “Froot” and “I’m A Ruin”.

Fresh from announcing details of their forthcoming LP, “Music Complete”, indie-dancefloor maestros, New Order have unveiled UK tour dates for later this year. The band, who formed in 1980, will be at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on 19th November 2015.
