Gigs This Week

American garage rock trio, The Gories are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC tonight (Thursday 30th July 2015). The band, who formed in Detroit in 1986, split in July 2009, but reformed in 2010.

Bearded Londoner, Jack Garratt is at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Friday (31st July 2015). The gig is a perfect warm-up for the singer who is scheduled to support Mumford & Sons in Aviemore at the weekend as part of their “Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover”. Garratt’s latest single, “Weathered” is available now.

Glasgow-based, alt-rock trio, Whiskey Pigeon are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Friday (31st July 2015). The band, who formed earlier this year, draw influence from a wide range of artists, including Queens Of The Stone Age, Green Day, Bjork, Ed Sheeran and Massive Attack. Support comes from The Clear.

Hollywood Ending are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Saturday (1st August 2015). The band, who released their self-titled debut album earlier this year, are touring the UK this coming week as a final farewell to fans! The rap metal band formed in 2011.

Local hero, Gerry Cinnamon is playing a very special charity gig at Glasgow’s newly-opened, Clutha Bar on Saturday (1st August 2015). Cinnamon, from Castlemilk in Glasgow, is fresh from a stellar slot at this year’s T In The Park and is scheduled to release his much-anticipated debut album later this year.

Home-grown talent, Altered Sky are at Glasgow’s Garage this Saturday (1st August 2015). The band formed in 2010 and released their EP, “Stop And Live” in January of this year.

NY-born dream-pop band, Luna are at Glasgow’s CCA on Sunday (2nd August 2015) as part of their Farewell Tour. The band, who formed in 1991, have released seven studio albums throughout their career; the latest being 2004’s “Rendezvous”

American “horror punk” outfit, The Misfits are in Glasgow on Monday (3rd August 2015) at the city’s Classic Grand. The band, who formed in New Jersey in 1977, are playing their studio album, “Static Age” in full, released in 1997.

Just Announced

English drum and bass outfit, Rudimental have unveiled plans to tour later this year, including a gig at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on Tuesday 13th October 2015. The band formed in 2010 and are due to release second LP, “We Are The Generation” in September.

Indie rockers, The Cribs have confirmed plans to tour later this year, including a hotly-anticipated gigs at Glasgow’s Barrowland on Tuesday 20th October 2015. The band, from Yorkshire, released their sixth studio album, “For All My Sisters” in March 2015.
