Gigs This Week
Caribbean-born, singer/songwriter, Joan Armatrading is playing Magners Summers Nights 2015 at The Kelvingrove Bandstand this Thursday (13th August 2015). Armatrading released her debut LP, “Whatever’s For Us” in November 1972.
British rockers Don Broco will be at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Friday (14th August 2015) as part of a string of intimate shows across the UK in promotion of their latest LP, “Automatic” released last week. It features the singles, “Superlove” and title-track, “Automatic”.
Echo And The Bunnymen are scheduled to play Kelvingrove Bandstand as part of Magners Summer Nights 2015 this Saturday (15th August 2015). The new-wave rockers, from Liverpool, formed in 1978 and released debut LP, “Crocodiles” in 1980; they are best known for signature song, “The Killing Moon”. The band released their 12th studio album, “Meteorites” in June 2014.
Homegrown talent, Lemonhaze are headlining Oran Mor this Saturday (15th August 2015). The band, from Paisley, draw influence from indie, rock and Britpop and released their second EP, “A Bath Of Reflection” earlier this year.
American pop-punkers, The Red Jumpsuit Aparatus are coming across the pond for a UK Tour, including a gig at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Sunday (16th August 2015). In 2014, the band self-released their fourth studio album, “4” which features the tracks “The Right Direction”, “California” and “Not My Style”. Support comes from Hello Future.
Nothing More have announced their debut headline UK Tour and will perform at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on 6th December 2015. The band, who formed in San Antonio, Texas in 2003, released their sixth, self-titled LP in June 2014.

Mayday Parade will be rocking out at The O2 ABC in Glasgow, alongside The Maine on 3rd February 2016. Mayday Parade are due to release their latest offering, “Black Lines” in October 2015 while fellow alternative rock outfit, The Maine released new LP, “American Candy” in March of this year.
