Gigs This Week
Glasgow’s Broadcast plays host to Keston Cobbler’s Club on Thursday (15th October 2015). The band formed in 2009 and are out on tout in support of latest studio effort, “Wildlife”, which is available now.
London-based, electro band, Hot Chip are at Glasgow’s Barrowland on Friday (16th October 2015). The band, who formed in 2000, have released six studio albums to date, the most recent being, “Why Make Sense?” which dropped in May of this year.
Hayseed Dixie are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Friday (16th October 2015) in support of latest LP, “Hair Down To My Grass”, which was released in January of this year. Known for their “rock-grass” sound, the quartet formed in 2001 and their name is a play on AC/DC.
Electro-pop outfit, Years & Years are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Saturday (17th October 2015). The band, from London, formed in 2010 and released their debut LP, “Communion” earlier this year; it spawned UK number one single, “King”.
Glasgow’s 02 Academy play host to Jamie XX this Saturday (17th October 2015). Known as both a member of The XX and a solo producer, remix artist and DJ, Jamie Smith has released two solo LPs to date, the most recent being, “In Colour”, which was released in May of this year.
Staffordshire-born band, Editors are at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on Sunday (18th October 2015) in support of latest LP, “In Dream”, which came out earlier this month.
Glasgow’s Stereo play host to Bristol-born band, Coasts on Sunday (18th October 2015). The band released their self-titled, debut LP earlier this year.
Folk musician, Bella Hardy is playing at Glasgow’s Hug & Pint on Sunday (18th October 2015). The singer/songwriter from Derbyshire has released six LPs to date, the most recent being, “With The Dawn” which came out earlier this year.
Sunday (18th October 2015) sees Glasgow’s King Tut’s play host to acoustic folk/pop band, Cattle & Cane. The quintet from Thornaby On Tees are out in support of their debut album, “Home” which is available now.
Seattle-born, Doo-Wop outfit, La Luz are at Glasgow’s Hug & Pint on Monday (19th October 2015). The band, who formed in 2012, are out in support of their latest LP, “Weirdo Shrine” which came out in August of this year.
Glasgow’s Broadcast play host to a band who take influence from “sex, violence and Nickleback” when Seattle’s Chastity Belt play live on Tuesday (20th October 2015).
Aussie pop-punks, 5 Seconds Of Summer have announced plans to tour in 2016, including a date at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Tuesday 19th April 2016. The band, who formed in 2011, and are due to release their second LP, “Sounds Good, Feels Good” which drops on Friday 23rd October 2015.
