Gigs This Week
Former X Factor finalist, Ella Henderson is scheduled to play Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Thursday (29th October 2015). Henderson released her debut LP, “Chapter One” in October 2014; it spawned the massive UK number one single, “Ghost”.
Kent-based quintet, Broken Hands are at Glasgow’s Broadcast on Thursday (29th October 2015). The band released their debut LP, “Turbulence” earlier this month. Support comes from Velvetbomb.
King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut play host to Dutch/New Zealand outfit, My Baby on Friday (30th October 2015). The band, who formed in 2012, have released two LPs to date, the latest being, “Shamanaid”. Support comes from The Rivers and Dixie Fried.
Canadian rock band, Half Moon Run are due to perform at Glasgow’s Oran Mor on Saturday (31st October 2015). The band, from Montreal, formed in 2010 and are out in support of latest LP, “Sun Leads Me On” which dropped earlier this month; it follows their 2012 debut, “Dark Eyes”.
Country pop troubadours, Jess And The Bandits are at King Tut’s this Saturday (31st October 2015). Founded in 2012, the band, from Houston, Texas, consists of brothers, Ricci and Louis Riccardi, and fronted by Jessica Clemmons. Their current UK Tour takes in Glasgow, Manchester, London, Leeds and Newcastle.
Welsh indie band, Catfish & The Bottlemen are scheduled to play Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on Sunday (1st November 2015). The band formed in 2007 and released their debut album, “The Balcony” in September 2014; it features signature single, “Cocoon”.
D.I.D (formeley Dog Is Dead) are at Nice ‘N’ Sleazy this Sunday (1st November 2015). The band, from Nottingham, released their debut LP, “All Our Favourite Stories” in October 2012.
King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut play host to Yorkshire-born band, The Dunwells on Sunday (1st November 2015). The pop/rock band formed in 2009 and released their debut LP, “Blind Sighted Faith” in February 2012. The Dunwells have also released three EPs to date, the most recent being, “Lucky Ones”, released in May of this year.
Alt-rock outfit, Death Cab For Cutie are at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on Monday (2nd November 2015). The band, from Washington, formed in 1997 and released their eighth studio album, “Kintsugi” in March of this year; it was their last to feature founding member and guitarist, Chris Walla.
Fresh from supporting Paolo Nutini at Bellahouston Park this summer, Northern Irish singer/songwriter, SOAK will be at Edinburgh’s Caves on Monday (2nd November 2015). SOAK aka Bridie Monds-Watson releaed her debut LP, “Before We Forgot How To Dream” in May 2015.
Foxes has unveiled plans to play Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Thursday 10th March 2016. Foxes aka Louisa Rose Allen is due to release her second LP, “All In Need” in February 2016; it includes the singles, “Body Talk” and “Better Love”.

Hip Hop duo, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have announced plans to play Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Wednesday 13th April 2016. Rapper, Macklemore (aka Ben Haggerty) and DJ/producer, Ryan Lewis are best known for their UK and US number one single, “Thrift Shop”, released in August 2012.
Pre-sale begins on Thursday (29th October 2015) @ 9.30am
American rocker, Chris Cornell is due to play Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on Friday 29th April 2016. Cornell, known for fronting both Soundgarden and Audioslave, released his fourth solo LP, “Higher Truth” in September of this year.
