Hot on the heels of The Stone Roses announcing home-town gigs at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium next June, Welsh rockers, Manic Street Preachers have unveiled plans to play Swansea’s Liberty Stadium on Saturday 28th May 2016.

The band, who formed in Blackwood, Wales in 1986, are playing their biggest Welsh headline show since 1999’s gig at Cardiff Millennium Stadium to commemorate 20 years since the release of, “Everything Must Go”; their fourth LP which featured the singles, “Design For Life” and title track, “Everything Must Go” and their first release following the disappearance of guitarist, Richey Edwards.

Manic Street Preachers will be joined by very special guests, Super Furry Animals at Liberty Stadium next May; the band will perform two sets at the special Stadium show. “Everything Must Go” will be played in full for the first set while the second set will see the band treat fans to live performance of greatest hits, b-sides and rarities.

2014 saw the band release their 12th studio LP, “Futurology”, it features the title track single and “Walk Me To The Bridge”. The band played a string of successful shows to mark the anniversary of “The Holy Bible”, their third LP released in August 1994.
