Beach Boy, Brian Wilson has announced plans to tour the UK in May 2016 to celebrate 50 years since the release of “Pet Sounds”, the universally acclaimed Beach Boys album.

Wilson is set to tour the globe playing “Pet Sounds” for the last time, kicking off in March 2016 and his UK stops include Bristol’s Colston Hall (15th May 2016), Birmingham’s Symphony Hall (17th), St David’s Hall in Cardiff (18th), London’s Palladium (20th/21st), 02 Apollo in Manchester (24th), Edinburgh’s Usher Hall (26th), Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall (27th), Sage in Gateshead (29th), Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall (31st) and Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall (1st June 2016).

The tour was originally scheduled for September 2015, but cancelled due to Wilson’s involvement with “Love & Mercy”, a biopic about Wilson’s life at two pivotal stages which was released last summer. Both Paul Dano and John Cusack played Brian Wilson; Dano as a young Wilson at the height of Beach Boys fame during the writing and recording of “Pet Sounds” in the late 60s, while Cusack is Wilson in the 1980s struggling with mental illness and living under the control of his legal guardian and psychotherapist, Dr Eugene Landy (played by Paul Giamatti).

“Pet Sounds” is the 11th studio album by The Beach Boys and was released on 16th May 1966; it features the signature song, “God Only Knows”.

Tickets for Brian Wilson’s Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary Tour 2016″ go on-sale on Friday 29th January 2016 @ 9am
