Gigs This Week
Broadcast plays host to London-born trio, NZCA Lines on Thursday (11th February 2016). The band, who formed in 2010, recently released their new LP, “Infinite Summer”; it features the singles, “Persephone Dreams” and “Two Hearts”.
Remembering Joone are at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Thursday (11th February 2016) bringing their brand of indie, pop, rock and country.
Indie rockers, Foals make their SSE Hydro debut on Friday (12th February 2016) with support from Everything Everything and a DJ set from Peace. Foals, who formed in Oxford in 2005, released their fourth LP, “What Went Down” in August 2015.
British folk singer, Will Varley is at King Tut’s on Friday (12th February 2016). Varley is also co-founder of the arts collective, Smuggler’s Records and released his latest LP, “Postcards From Ursa Minor” in October 2015.
Broadcast plays host to Cornwall-born band, The Black Tambourines. The band, who formed in 2009, are known for their Ocean Rock sound and take inspiration from The Velvet Underground.
Saturday (13th February 2016) sees Glasgow’s 02 ABC play tribute to The Man In Black when Cash plays some of the biggest hits of Johnny Cash’s career, including “Walk The Line”, “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Ring Of Fire” and “Get Rhythm”.
The Hug & Pint has a live set from Mancunian band, PINS on Saturday (13th February 2016). The band formed in 2011 and take influence from My Bloody Valentine, Hole and The Jesus & Mary Chain; they released their second LP, “Wild Nights” in June 2015.
Goth rockers, Skeletal Family are at Glasgow’s Audio on Saturday (13th February 2016). The band, from West Yorkshire, formed in 1982 and released their fourth LP, “Songs Of Love, Hope & Despair” in 2009.
King Tut’s plays host to The Austins on Saturday (13th February 2016). The band, from Motherwell, formed in 2006 and known for their brand of Americana rock.
Australian metal-core band, Parkway Drive are at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on Sunday (14th February 2016), with support from Bury Tomorrow and Thy Art Is Murder. The band, who formed in 2003, have released five studio LPs to date, the most recent being 2015’s “Ire”.
Broadcast plays host to MONEY on Sunday (14th February 2016), a band from Manchester who formed in 2011. The band released their second LP, “Suicide Songs” in January of this year.
Sheffield-born, indie rockers, The Crookes are at Glasgow’s King Tut’s on Sunday (14th February 2016). The band formed in 2008 and released their latest, and fourth LP, “Lucky Ones” in January 2016.
The SSE Hydro plays host to “The Back To The Future Hearts Tour” on Monday (15th February 2016) which boasts an all-star line up; All Time Low and Good Charlotte. Pop punks, All Time Low formed in 2003 and released their sixth studio LP, “Future Hearts” in April 2015, while Good Charlotte are from Maryland and formed in 1996; they released latest LP, “Cardiology” in November 2010.
Former X Factor contestant, Lucy Spraggan is bringing her “Acoustic Tour” to Glasgow’s King Tut’s on Monday (15th February 2016). Spraggan finished in ninth place in the TV talent show after having to quit for health reasons, and released her debut LP, “Join The Club” in October 2013. Spraggan’s third, and latest, LP, “We Are” was released in May 2015.
Psychedelic rockers, Kula Shaker are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Monday (15th February 2016). The band, from London, formed in 1995 and are due to release their fifth studio album, “K2.0” next week.
Kentucky-born rockers, Cage The Elephant are at Glasgow’s QMU on Tuesday (16th February 2016). The band formed in 2006 and have released four studio LPs to date, the most recent being 2015’s “Tell Me I’m Pretty”.
Glasgow’s 02 Academy plays host to Marina & The Diamonds on Tuesday (16th February 2016). Marina & The Diamonds, aka Marina Diamandis, is out in support of her third LP, “Froot” which dropped in March 2015; it follows 2012’s “Electra Heart” and her 2010 debut, “The Family Jewels”.
Fresh from stealing the show at SuperBowl50 last weekend, Superstar diva, Beyoncé has announced “The Formation World Tour”, which includes a date at Glasgow’s Hampden Park on Thursday 7th July 2016.

Milngavie-born, Nina Nesbitt has announced a headline gig at Glasgow’s Garage on Saturday 7th May 2016. Nesbitt released her new EP, “Modern Love” earlier this month; it features the single, “Chewing Gum”.
