Gigs This Week

Wolf Alice are scheduled to play Glasgow’s Barrowland on Wednesday (16th March 2016). The band, from London, initially formed as a duo in 2010, before becoming a four-piece in 2012. Wolf Alice released their debut LP, “My Love Is Cool” in June 2015. Support comes from Swim Deep and Bloody Knees.

Northern Irish punks, Stiff Little Fingers are at Glasgow’s Barrowland on Thursday (17th March 2016). The band, from Belfast, formed in 1977 and have released 10 studio LPs to date, the most recent being 2014’s “No Going Back”.

Band of the moment, The 1975 kick off the first of FOUR consecutive nights at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on Thursday (17th March 2016). The band are out in support of their second LP, “I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It”, which was released in February of this year; the album scored The 1975 a number one in both the UK and US.

Glasgow’s SSE Hydro plays host to Ellie Goulding on Friday (18th March 2016). Goulding, from Hereford, England, released his debut LP, “Lights” in 2010; it features the hit single, “Starry Eyed”. Goulding is out in support of her third LP, “Delirium”, which was released in November 2015; this could be the last time to see the singer play live as she announced earlier this week that she was taking a break from music. Support comes from John Newman.

X Factor success story, Little Mix are at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Saturday (19th March 2016) for both a matinee and evening show. The girl band are out in support of their latest LP, “Get Weird”, which includes the singles, “Black Magic” and “Love Me Like You”

Montreal-born, indie rockers, Half Moon Run are scheduled to play Glasgow’s QMU on Saturday (19th March 2016). The band, who formed in 2010, have released two albums to date, the most recent being 2015’s “Sun Leads Me On”.

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut play host to Walking On Cars on Sunday (20th March 2016). The band, from Kerry, Ireland, formed in 2010 and released their debut LP, “Everything This Way” in January of this year.

Just Announced

Placebo are celebrating 20 years as a band this year with a string of live dates, including a show at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Friday 2nd December 2016.

Tickets go on-sale on Friday 18th March 2016 @ 9am

90s combat-clad girl band, All Saints are back with a UK Tour later this year, including a date at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on Friday 7th October 2016. All Saints are set to release a brand NEW album, “Red Flag” next month; it features their latest single, “One Strike”.
