Gigs This Week
LA-born singer/songwriter, Beth Hart is scheduled to play Glasgow’s 02 Academy tonight (Monday 14th November 2016). Hart is out in support of her latest LP, “Fire On The Floor”. Support comes from Colin James.
The Art School plays host to Joan Wasser tonight (Monday 14th November 2016). Wasser, better known as Joan As Police Woman, released her latest LP, “Let It Be You” last month. Support comes from Benjamin Lazar Davis and Fil Bo Riva.
Alt-rockers, Walking On Cars are at Glasgow’s QMU tonight (Monday 14th November 2016). The band, from County Kerry, Ireland released their debut LP, “Everything This Way” in January of this year. Support comes from Tor Miller.
Oran Mor plays host to Laura Mvula on Tuesday (15th November 2016). Mvula released her latest LP, “The Dreaming Room” in June of this year; it followed her 2013 debut, “Sing To The Moon”. Support comes from Oliver St Louis.
Italian/English acoustic performer, Jack Savoretti is scheduled to play Glasgow’s 02 Academy on Tuesday (15th November 2016). Savoretti released his fifth studio album, “Sleep No More” this year. Support comes from JONES.
Glasgow’s Garage plays host to Italian goth metal band, Lacuna Coil on Tuesday (15th November 2016). The band, who initially formed in 1994, are out in support of their eighth studio effort, “Delirium” which dropped this year. Support comes from Forever Still and G.O.D.
Simply Red are celebrating 25 Years since the release of their fourth studio LP, “Stars” which was released in September 1991. The album spawned the singles, “Something Got Me Started”, title track, “Stars”, “For Your Babies” and “Your Mirror”. The band, who formed in 1985, have sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
American rockers, Dinosaur Jr are scheduled to play Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Thursday (17th November 2016). The band, from Massachusetts, formed in 1984 and released their 11th studio album, “Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not” in May of this year.
Glasgow’s Barrowland have punk duo, Slaves live onstage on Friday (18th November 2016). Slaves, aka Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman, released their second studio effort, “Take Control” in September of this year; it followed their 2015 debut, “Are You Satisfied?”
Mancunian indie rockers, Courteeners take on Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Saturday (19th November 2016). The band have released five studio LPs since forming in 2006, the most recent being, “Mapping The Rendezvous” which dropped last month. Support comes from The View and Clean Cut Kid.
Glasgow’s 02 Academy play host to electro-duo, Chase & Status on Saturday (19th November 2016). The pair, Saul Milton and Will Kennard, formed in 2003 and have released three studio LPs to date, the most recent being 2013’s “Brand New Machine”.
Punk rockers, The Damned are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Sunday (20th November 2016) in celebration of their 40th Anniversary. The band, who formed in 1976, released their latest LP, “So, Who’s Paranoid?” in 2008 with new music confirmed for the near future.
Jess Glynne makes her SSE Hydro debut on Monday (21st November 2016). Glynne, who released her debut LP, “I Cry When I Laugh” in August 2015; it features the singles, “Hold My Hand”, “Right Here” and “Take Me Home”.
Indie rockers, The Front Bottoms are at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on Monday (21st November 2016). The band, from New Jersey, formed in 2007 and have released five studio LPs, the most recent being 2015’s “Back On Top”.
