Soon family duties, shopping errands and present wrapping will be all we have time for, until then, it’s time for one last blow out. It is after all, the weekend before Xmas.

Tonight: Warm with Motor City Drum Ensemble at Plastic People.

Hailing from Stuttgart, Germany’s very own motor city, Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble is influenced by jazz, soul, funk and hip hop. After collaborating on various nu-jazz projects he appears to have settled comfortably into the deep house genre. Tonight the 24-year-old will be playing a 4 hour set supported by the Warm residents.

10pm – 4am. Advance tickets sold out, £10 on the door.

Saturday: John Digweed, Guy J at Fabric.

John Digweed has a CV as long as your arm. Highlights include Bedrock, Renaissance, Northern Exposure, his Kiss 100 radio show, remixes for Danny Tenaglia and New Order and acclaimed mix CDs for Global Underground and Communicate, but it’s mostly his distinctive progressive house sound that ensures a sell out every time he plays. This Saturday is no exception, and the support comes from Bedrock signing Guy J. Terry Francis and Cari Lekebusch will be in room 2 along with Paul Kalkbrenner, who will perform live. Kalkbrenner released a DVD earlier in the month depicting his 2010 tour and performances, catch a glimpse here.
