There’s a TON of things going on this weekend.
FRIDAY! (yeah, we know there’s dance parties @ Club Phoenix with DJ Cullen Stalin and a Soft House show) but the event of the evening goes to our boy Abdu Ali! His Eat On This party will be the talk all weekend!

Celebrating a dashingly progressive year, EatOnThis, is hosting A Year of Victory Benefit Gala, at the Cork Factory in Baltimore, MD, featuring live performances by DDM Midas, Amy Reid of In Every Room, a fashion presentation by Bishme Cromartie, art presentations by Duox Duox, and TT the Artist.

With the power of fashion, music, and art, A Year of Victory Benefit Gala will help spread awareness about the Transgendered identity and also help erase the prejudices against the differences between sexuality, race, and religion. This will not only be a celebration for the success of EatOnThis but it will also be celebrating the admirable efforts of Trans United of Baltimore, which is a non-profit that fights for the rights of Transgendered men and women. EatOnThis’, A Year of Victory Benefit Gala, will raise money through ticket sales, for Sandy’s House, which will be the first homeless shelter and transitional house in Baltimore strictly for the GLBT community. Sandy’s House will be proudly opening in Fall 2011. There is a $10 Door Admission. The event will provide complementary cocktails and Hors d’Ĺ“uvres.

(Hollertronix, Philly)

…”Way back in 2003, in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, Low & Diplo started the Hollertronix party as a way of maintaining control of what they were able to play. The party was an eclectic mix of Hip Hop, Indie, Rock, Reggae and Pop. Everything was seamlesslyt mixed by the two turntable Svengali’s. They produced a whole host of remixes and mixtapes including “Never Scared” which was named one of the New York Times’ top ten albums of 2003.

Since then, Low Bee has been touring the world spinning an array of sounds, producing and serving as M.I.A.’s tour DJ. He is a highly respected and is a regularly booked DJ worldwide.”

This is Low Bee’s first appearance in Baltimore since 2007 when he played Tax Lo as MIA’s DJ. Before that Low Bee had appeared at Tax Lo numerous times solo as well as with DIPLO as HOLLERTRONIX and we couldn’t be more excited for his return!
