The Shape Of Things To Come
Nudashank is pleased to present The Shape Of Things To Come, an exhibition of abstract, sculptural paintings and objects by Brooklyn-based artists Stacy Fisher, Tracy Thomason and Maria Walker, in conjunction with the Transmodern Festival. The works of the three artists, while comprised of varying materials, share a similarly casual, wonky posture. Falling somewhere between sculpture and painting, works balloon off the walls, hang from the ceiling, sag in imperfect shapes and collectively posess a subtle animation that ties into the Transmodern aesthetic, while remaining grounded in abstraction and object art.

Opening Reception:
Saturday April 16th
H&H Bldg. 3rd Floor
405 W. Franklin St.

ANNNND finally, the kidz from Taxlo return to Golden West:

Max Dunbar and Ari Goldman have played Tax Lo a number of times over the years, sharing the stage with the likes of Novamen’s DJ Overdose, Beats In Space’s Tim Sweeney and Growing. We couldn’t be more excited to have the duo return now as Beautiful Swimmers!

(Win Win/Spank Rock/Devlin & Darko)

Chris Devlin aka Chris Rockswell is no stranger to Taxidermy Lodge either. He’s DJ’d with us countless times over the years on his own or as the dj for both Spank Rock and Amanda Blank as well as one half of Devlin and Darko and a member of the Baltimore Bass Connection. His newest project (with XXXChange and GhostDad) is called Win Win and they have a new album out on Vice Records which features guest vocals from the likes of Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor and Lizzy from Gang Gang Dance. Win Win is touring the US next month with The Death Set, but we’re excited to have Chris dj with us before he leaves town again!
