Glasgow-based band, SOS (formely Strawberry Ocean Sea) are looking to build on their 2011 success this year with the release of their brand new EP “A Challenge To The Dark”.

Recorded in CIA Studios in North London earlier this year, “Carry On Suzie” is the lead single from their forthcoming EP and effortlessly showcases the band’s instant Rock ‘N’ Roll vibe that have smitten gig audiences throughout the UK with it’s unique hybrid of influences; Roy Orbison, The Clash and Phil Spector

SOS supported Glasvegas on tour last summer with frontman, James Allan dubbing SOS singer, Jonny Skinner as “Scotland’s answer to Roy Orbison”, a nod to Skinner’s rare songwriting talent.

The band set the Rockness stage alight last summer and have continued to build on their stellar live reputation since with their very own club night “Under The Moonlight” in both Glasgow and, more recently, Edinburgh.

SOS are scheduled to officially launch “Carry On Suzie” with a hotly-anticipated gig at Glasgow’s Stairway Club this Friday (22nd June)  and the single is now available as a free download on the band’s Facebook page.

SOS are coming . . . spread the word.
