Las Vegas’ own, The Killers set to make an eagerly-awaited return to UK shores this week.

In support of their forthcoming studio album, “Battle Born”, The Killers are making an anticipated return to the touring circuit this week with an intimate gig at Leeds’ 02 Academy this Friday ahead of their headlining slot at V Festival this weekend.

Fresh from stellar slots at Budpest’s Sziget Festival and Frequency Festival in Austria over the last few days, the band appear confident and hungry for their return with frontman, Brandon Flowers confessing he “can’t wait” to play in the UK again.

The Killers unveiled material from “Battle Born” at both¬†festival last weekend¬†and their intimate Leeds slot this week is their own unique way of introducing their fourth studio album to their UK fans. The band are one of the most anticipated acts of this weekend’s V Festival with The Stone Roses, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Snow Patrol, Nicki Minaj and Keane among the bands also scheduled to appear.

“Battle Born” is the follow-up to 2008’s “Day & Age”: produced by Stuart Price and is available from 17th September 2012.
