Christmas may be mere weeks away but excitement is already building for next summer with T In The Park unveiling their headlining acts for next July.

Rihanna, Mumford & Sons and The Killers are set to top the bill next year in celebration of T’s 20th Anniversary.

The announcement has been met with a mixed reaction from festival revellers who have shared their thoughts on the line-up so far on Twitter and Facebook.

Fresh from the release of her seventh studio effort, “Unapologetic”, Rihanna will perform at the Balado-based event for the very first time, an overdue performance indeed.

Mumford & Sons have enjoyed a phenomenal 2012 with second album, “Babel” scoring them a #1 on both sides of the Atlantic cementing them as potential headliners for next festival season.

2012 saw the triumphant return of The Killers following their extended hiatus announced at the end of their world tour in 2009. They released their fourth studio album, “Battle Born” in September and have since embarked on a world tour, due to end in Brazil in March. The Las Vegas-based band are set to perform their first EVER stand-alone stdaium gig at Wembley next June; the perfect warm-up for festival season.

The Killers are regular’s at T having headlined in both 2007 and 2009.

The Script. Jake Bugg, Alt J, Paloma Faith and Of Monsters And Men have also been confirmed for T In The park 2013, dubbed “T20” in tribute to the 20th consecutive year of the Scottish festival.

The brainchild of Geoff Ellis, T In The Park began in 1994 and was held at Strathclyde Park in Lanarkshire before moving to Balado in 1997. Originally, a two day festival, it upgraded to a Thursday-Monday event in 2008.

Oasis, Green Day, Coldplay, Beyonce, Foo Fighters, Kings Of Leon, Snow Patrol and Pet Shop Boys are among the thousands of artists who have graced the T Stages in the last two decades.

Tickets for T In The Park 2013 are available from Friday (7th December 2012) at 9am.
