To say there is a buzz surrounding Simon McBride would be somewhat of an understatement; the Irish blues guitarist has already been pegged to follow in the footsteps of Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore and scooped the coveted “Young Guitarist Of The Year” at just 15.

McBride means business in 2013; kicking off a 21-date tour of the UK, Belgium and Holland, which starts at Glasgow’s 02 ABC on 14th March 2013.

Following winning, “Young Guitarist Of The Year”, McBride joined Belfast-based metal band, Sweet Savage at just; he toured with the band and recorded both “Killing Time” and “Rune” in the late 1990s.

The new millennium saw McBride team up with Andrew Strong; they toured together for 6 years playing soul, pop and R ‘N’ B before Simon McBride launched his solo career, he released debut album, “Rich Man Falling” in 2008.

Since going it alone, McBride has supported Jeff Beck on tour, played Glastonbury and been nominated for a British Blues Award.

To coincide with his upcoming tour, McBride is set to release, “One More Try” via iTunes and Amazon. The track is taken from his latest album, “Crossing The Line”.
