2013 has definitely been Heavens Basement’s biggest and best year; releasing their debut album “Filthy Empire”, touring all over Europe and playing festivals including two spots at this years Download Festival. What better way to finish off 2013 than by supporting one of the biggest names in metal, Black Veil Brides?

Heavens Basement put on an explosive show at the Glasgow Barrowlands on the 18th December, not wasting a single ounce of energy throughout the set. Their fast-paced and energetic music style got the whole place jumping and to those who have stuck by Heavens Basement this year were singing their hearts out to all their songs.

Heavens Basement is unlike any band in today’s rock and metal world, bringing back old styles and riffs which remind you of a young Gun’s ‘N’ Roses, it is this which makes them stand out from other bands and with such an old-school style they can tour with just about anyone. However, this band isn’t just some retro glam rock band trying to revive the 1980’s, they bring their own modern take on this kind of music. Unlike Steel Panther who like to parody old glam rock bands, Heavens Basement show that rock n roll isn’t dead and it’s time to take it out from the basement and back into today’s mainstream media.
