With the long-awaited release of You Me At Six’s fourth studio album, “Cavalier Youth” finally hitting the shelves last Monday, the quintet from Surrey travelled to the UK for a string of in-store signings and performances, including a slot at Glasgow’s HMV in Buchanan Street.

The band arrived in Glasgow on Thursday night (30th January 2014) to hundreds of fans who had queued up early to avoid disappointment. Their HMV set kicked off with, “Too Young To Feel This Old” and “Fresh Start Fever”, both tracks taken from their new album. It didn’t take long before everyone was up on their feet as signature song, “Stay With Me” saw fans screaming along to the lyrics.

Next up everyone was asked to put their phones away for the duration as “Reckless” was performed, and all inhibitions were lost as new tune, “Cold Night” filled the room. Rounding up the musical portion of the night, “Underdog” had the entire audience chanting away before You Me At Six closed their HMV set with first single, “Lived A Lie”.

Once the show was over, the band took to their seats to sign copies of their new album for the hundreds of fans who had turned out to meet them. You Me At Six were very friendly towards the crowd, clearly appreciating how many fans had come out to see them. The boys were also very keen to get fans take on their new material and made sure to thank everyone for buying the new release.

Although, You Me At Six were only in Glasgow for a brief time, fans will not have to wait long to see the band in action once again as they are scheduled to play in Glasgow in March as part of their headline tour.

“Cavalier Youth” is available now.
