Synth-pop duo, Pet Shop Boys have announced plans to play in Glasgow as part of their 2014 Electric Tour.

Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe will be out on the road across May and June in support of the recent studio album, also called “Electric”, released in July 2013. They are scheduled to play gigs in Brighton, Birmingham, Blackpool and Cardiff next month.

The band played gigs in Manchester and London last year coinciding with the anticipated release of “Electric”.

Since forming in 1981, the duo have sold over 50 millions albums worldwide and had 22 Top 10 Hits here in the UK including four number one singles.

Pet Shop Boys have added a gig at Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium on Friday 5th September to their tour. The band were last in Scotland to bring in 2014 when they played a spectacular live set in Edinburgh as part of the Hogmanay celebrations.

Tickets for Pet Shop Boys LIVE at Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium go on sale on Friday (23rd May 2014) at 9am.
