The nominations for 2014’s Q Awards were revealed earlier today. The prestigious ceremony will take place on 22nd October, hosted by Absolute Radio DJ, Christian O’Connell.

Following the release of latest studio album, “48 : 13” and their coveted Glastonbury headline slot this summer, Kasabian lead the way with four nominations; “Best Act In The World Today”, “Best Album”, “Best Track” for lead single, “Eez-Eh” and “Best Live Act” while Arctic Monkeys cement a successful 2014 with “Best Live Act”, “Best Act In The World Today” and “Best Video” for single, “Arabella”.

Paisley-born Paolo Nutini has picked up two nominations for “Best Track” for latest single, “Iron Sky” and “Best Solo Artist” while Kate Bush’s recent return to the stage after a 35 year absence has gained her a nod in “Best Live Act” category and “Best Act In The World Today”.
