Glasgow Gigs This Week

The Twilight Sad take to the stage at 02 ABC this weekend (Friday 19th December) with support from Errors and Vladimir. The post-punk, Scottish band are set to perform a mixed bag of material, including latest LP, “Nobody Wants To Be Here And Nobody Wants To Leave”, released in October of this year.

Gutter favourites, Vigo Thieves will also be at 02 ABC in Glasgow this weekend; they are scheduled to play on Saturday night (20th December). The band will round off an incredible year at the venue for their last gig of 2014; they are set to perform at The Barrowlands in February.

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut are hosting a very special tribute to music and life of the late, great Joe Strummer. The gig, scheduled for Monday 22nd December, will be the 10th Anniversary show and all proceeds will go to Strummerville, Strummer’s charity devoted to helping young people through music.

Just Announced

Pop/soul legend, Lionel Richie has unveiled plans to tour next year. The “All The Hits, All Night Long Tour” will roll into Glasgow on Friday 6th March 2015 when the former Commodores frontman will play some of his biggest hits at The SSE Hydro, including, “Hello”, “Dancing On The Ceiling” and “Three Times A Lady”.

Singer/Songwriter, Lucy Rose will be out on her first headline tour in 2015, including a date at The Glasgow Art School on 15th March. Following the release of her debut, “Like I Used To” in 2013, Rose has supported Neil Diamond at Hyde Park and played Glastonbury.

Winners of NBC’s third season of “The Sing Off”, instrument-free, vocal sensations, Pentatonix are bringing their unique take on music to Glasgow next May. The American quintet will be at 02 Academy on Wednesday 6th May 2015.
