The teaser trailer for forthcoming Britpop, black comedy, “Kill Your Friends” has been released ahead of its Toronto Film Festival debut next month; based on John Niven’s 2008 acclaimed novel, Nicholas Hoult takes the lead as Steven Stelfox.

Stelfox is a hard-partying A&R man at the height of “Cool Britannia” in 1997 London where bands like Oasis, The Verve and Supergrass ruled the music world. However, Stelfox finds that the fickle taste of the public could make or break his career, and he goes to murderous lengths to stay at the top.

Hoult beat “Twilight” star, Robert Pattinson for the lead role as Steven Stelfox; Pattinson openly said in 2010 he was desperate to be cast as the ruthlessly ambitious Stelfox, and even approached producers regarding the “junkie role”Craig Roberts, Rosanna Arquette, Jim Piddock, Georgia King and James Corden co-star in this shocking satire about the music industry.

“Kill Your Friends” hits cinemas on Friday 6th November 2015.
