The Revenant

Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy star in this gripping, true-life revenge drama. DiCaprio is fur trapper, Hugh Glass; leader of a hunting party in 1820s South Dakota. When Glass is attacked and viciously mauled by a bear, his treacherous companions, rather than tend to his wounds, decide to abandon him to perish in a shallow grave. However, Glass survives and braves warring tribes, a savage environment and a 120 mile trek in harsh winter to exact his revenge.

Ma (Brie Larson) lives within the confines of a single room with her young son, Jack (Jacob Tremblay) for which, room has become his whole universe. However, as Jack reaches his fifth birthday, Ma hatches a risky plan to allow Jack to escape into the realms of the outside world. When it pays off, an emotional journey begins for both mother and child as they come to terms with life beyond room. Based on the acclaimed novel.
