Disney has announced that a FIFTH Indiana Jones film is in the pipeline; famous archaeologist, Henry “Indiana” Jones is set to return to our silver screens in July 2019.

Harrison Ford will reprise his iconic role that he has been playing since 1981’s “Raiders Of The Lost Ark”, while Steven Spielberg returns to the director’s chair for the fifth time. Creator, George Lucas is reportedly not involved in the forthcoming film. The franchise has seen Sir Sean Connery co-star as Jones’ father and the late River Phoenix played young Indiana Jones; both appeared in the third instalment, 1989’s “Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade”.

73 year old, Ford is on the reboot trail having recently reprised his Star Wars role as Han Solo in 2015’s “Star Wars : The Force Awakens” and is set to play Rick Deckard again in a long-awaited “Blade Runner” sequel set for release next year.

The as-of-yet untitled movie will be the first since 2008’s “Indiana Jones & The Crystal Skull” which co-starred Cate Blanchett, Jim Broadbent, Ray Winstone, John Hurt and Shia LaBeouf as Mutt Jones, Indy’s son. “Indiana Jones & The Crystal Skull” was the first movie from the franchise in 19 years.
